By popular demand, we are now offering an on-line incarnation of our DRBD Total training sessions, normally taught in a 4-day on-site course. The next such training commences on May 18 (next Monday), and we still have a few seats left — so if you’re interested, grab one while you still can!
What’s covered in this course?
Here is an overview of the course highlights:
- Introduction to High Availability Clustering & DRBD
- Setting up a DRBD resource and common failure scenarios
- Configuring and running the Heartbeat/Pacemaker cluster stack
- Highly available NFS, MySQL, and virtualization
- DRBD performance tuning and optimization
- DRBD integration with Red Hat Cluster Suite
- Recent and future DRBD development
Every course attendee gets a virtual cluster to play with and practice on. It doesn’t get much more hands-on than this.
How is this course organized?
This course is a 15-session training spread out over 5 weeks, 3 sessions per week. Sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 0700 UTC, and recorded versions will be available later in the day. So if you are in Europe, Africa, Asia or Australia you should be able to catch sessions live, whereas if you live in the Americas the recordings are probably for you. The course ends on June 19.
What do I need to attend?
For the instruction part, all you need is a web browser that supports Java, and a workstation or laptop with speakers or headphones. For review quizzes and assignments, you’ll also just need a web browser. Other than that, your time and motivation is all that’s needed.
Will this prepare me for DRBD Certification?
You bet! This is the ideal fast track to become a DRBD Certified Engineer. We are offering specially discounted certification packages which you may book jointly with this training.
Is this free?
Nope. This is 30 hours of hard core DRBD instruction and loads of practical hands-on sessions — we can’t possibly offer that for free. Attendance for the full course is € 1,600 per person. Some discounts apply — feel free to ask.
How do I sign up?
Easy! Just drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will promptly respond.
